Leonard P. Zakim Memorial Bridge in Boston, MA

Whether you know me or not, someway, somehow you can hear my laugh across the room. I wasn't always so outgoing but once I stopped caring about what others expected and started doing things that I enjoy, I started seeing what I could accomplish if I set my mind to it. Being raised by parents both in the medical field, it was hard to break it to them that I wouldn't be needing a stethoscope anytime soon.

Makeup and journalism and I know what you're wondering -- 'how do those two subjects correlate?' and the truth is I still wonder to this day. The simplest way to explain it is that I love journalism as my career and I love makeup as my hobby. I became intrigued in journalism during my senior year of high school. Watching how quick news breaks and the impact of viewership

In college, I continue to perfect my writing and enjoy the rapidness of news. I began writing for the online newspaper and did local radio shows my freshman and sophomore year of college. I fell in love with making news fun. I now focus more on the editing and production side of news, but I still am always so attracted to being in front of the camera.

Symbolically I enjoyed the creative liberty makeup and journalism both have. With makeup, I started playing with colors and found how fun and creative one can be. I find this to be quite similar to journalism. There isn’t just one direct way to do journalism, depending on your writing you can be as imaginative and as fun, as you want.

My purpose is to never be hung up on one task. I want to keep pushing myself to see what else I can conquer. For me, I enjoy composing stories about celebrities and gossip because that is what I find fun and keeps me laughing. I constantly stay up to date with trends and see who is with who. What celebrity is creating what music or what is the latest trend? Because journalism is so broad, I have a constant conflict in deciding between being a local news anchor or working on a larger network that just deals with celebrities. My desire is to stay persistent in what keeps me happy and what keeps me laughing because I'm on the hunt for what's going to happen next.

Tweeting about Super Bowl LIV 2020

This past Super Bowl since the Patriots weren't playing, it was only appropriate to tweet about the halftime show. Posting a poll gave me an idea of what my audience wanted to see on their feed. In the back to back updates, I received a lot of activity by posting memes, asking questions and also videos of Shakira and Jennifer Lopez's performances.
